moving on up

Well, I'm not sure about the "up" part.
But, I am moving...my blog, that is.
I decided that my blog needs a fresh look and feel, something new for the new year.
And try as I may, I can't get my old posts to convert to a new blog on Blogger.
I'm moving to Wordpress.
Come on over and take a look!
I'm at Snapshots & Scribbles.
I hope you like what you see.
And don't forget to subscribe..'cuz that would really make my day!

no words

Are you ever in that crazy place where there are tons of things swirling around in your head,
yet you don't have words for any of it?

That's me right now.

There is so much going on, that the thought of writing about it all is overwhelming to me.
There is school, which is going well, but takes a lot of discipline to stay on task.
There is my dad's health, which is not looking good.
There is Marko's work situation, which has recently taken a turn for the better
(read: he actually has work again! Yay!).
And then there's me, the very pregnant wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend woman trying to stay afloat.
Some days all the balls I'm juggling seem to be made of lead.
Some days I drop them.
Some days I juggle them well, by the grace of God.

And blogging, well it just seems like a chore right now.
So pardon me while I take a breath.
I'll be back when things calm down a bit.
And I might bring some surprises back with me.
So stay tuned.

01 January 2011

I don't know about you,
but the first day of the new year always inspires me with fresh beginnings.
I'm not a resolution maker, but the thought of a clean slate and new chalk is always exciting.
The endless possibilites that lay ahead of me...
New life,
New friends.
New opportunities.
A chance to reconnect.
A chance to dig deeper.
A chance to be the best that I can possibly be.

"No matter what a man's past may have been, his future is spotless."
John R. Rice

I love this quote, because it's filled with such hope and promise.
A spotless future...how great does that sound?
A future in which I don't yell at my kids,
or get lazy about cleaning my house,
or ignore the opportunity to minister to someone because of my selfishness.
That's the kind of year I want 2011 to be.

So here's a challenge to myself for the new year...
do the right thing,
do it well,
and do it cheerfully.

Happy New Year, Everyone!
